Welcome!

In this introductory section you will find three modules to get you started with your learning about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in curling.

We will take you through the outline of this learning platform, some basic terminology and also one module about norms and the impacts of normativity.

Implicit Bias Training

Implicit Biases are unsupported and often unconscious assumptions that we all have about other people or groups. Becoming aware of them can help you make conscious decisions regarding your actions and it will help you in your work towards becoming a more inclusive coach, athlete, board member and person.

Allyship

Allyship means to use your own privileges with the purpose of increasing equality. It is about taking responsibility without taking up space on behalf of someone else.

Genuine allyship is active work. It is not always easy to balance. You need to practice and learn when to share space, when to be silent and when to use your voice and speak up.
